Job description

Title: Sr. Project Manager

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 3 Months

We are looking for an Sr. Project Manager to manage application development projects. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented with Agile/waterfall methodology, needs to be is a highly collaborative person, working closely with IT and Business stakeholders of the Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT projects such as application development, and enhancement projects.
  • Manage projects from business case-to-implementation.
  • Project Management includes budget management, resource allocation, kick off meetings, project planning, project execution and control, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance, team and vendor management, and project implementation.
  • Lead design workshops, assessments, and troubleshooting sessions.
  • Apply waterfall delivery methodologies, standards and tools.
  • Lead end-to-end technical fixes/implementation, including hardware installation, environment setup, production certification, software deployment, integration development, testing and deployment, data management, and vendor technical activities.
  • Perform actual vs. planned analysis at the project level and forecast cost of the project.
  • Develop project plans/scope/schedule and track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate and attend meetings with various technical and non-technical resources to capture project requirements, identify project milestones, communicate project timelines, track action items, and monitor project status.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in large-scale IT Project Management environment.
  • 5 years of experience in managing App Dev projects.
  • Experience in PMO processes and Stage gate processes.
  • Good experience with Agile projects.
  • Experience managing projects using metrics such as ETC, EAC, SPI, and CPI.
  • Hands-on experience developing resource loaded schedules.
  • Experience managing budget/cost of the project and projecting monthly forecasts.
  • Ability to manage multiple high visibility projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with internal resources and external vendors.
  • Good experience identifying and managing risks.
