Job description

Payroll Manager- Full‑Time

Location: Salisbury, MD
Salary Range: $60,000–$85,000 annually
Schedule: 4‑day, 36-hour work week — Monday through Thursday


Key Responsibilities

  1. Embed cost accounting and allocations into ADP and payroll journal entries through advanced Excel exports and imports
  2. Manages timely and accuracy of all components of the payroll process
  3. Timely and accurate quality checks changes from payroll period to period
  4. Timely and effectively analyzes and reconciles payroll period and month end balance for all g/l payroll related accounts
  5. Maintains ongoing budget to actual payroll analyses and cash usage estimates
  6. Ensures all payroll taxes, employee benefits, and payroll payees are accurately paid
  7. Ensures all payroll tax reports are timely and accurately filed
  8. Complies with all internal control protocols for all items related to payroll
  9. Collaborate with Human Resources department
  10. Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.
  11. Other duties as assigned by the CFO


Qualifications

  1. Personal stability, flexibility, energy, and commitment to working with the persons suffering from severe mental illness.
  2. Formal education in office management, accounting, equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  3. Four years’ experience in an office, payroll, or business environment may be substituted for formal training.
  4. Mastery of Excel required.
  5. Experience with the use of computers and common business software preferred; demonstrated willingness to learn. Experience with ADP software preferred
  6. Superior command of written English, including forms for reports, letters, other documents.
  7. Highly developed organizational skills.
  8. Meet credentialing and privileging requirements as set out in Policy and Procedures.


Authority

Position reports to the CFO, receives schedules and assignments from same.


Classification Salary and Benefits

Regular, full-time position; exempt from overtime; see published salary scale, administrative track.
