TalentED is an exciting and evolving program under the CED portfolio. After a successful pilot, TalentED is growing to help small and medium-sized businesses as well as non-profits in the Greater Calgary area connect with future-ready talent.


Job Summary

We are seeking acreative and versatile Marketing Intern with excellent communication skills and an interest in supporting events. The intern will work closely with the Marketing team to create engaging content for email campaigns, social media, and events, while also supporting web content updates and community outreach initiatives.


Term: Up to 20 hours / week, September - December 2026


Key Responsibilities (but are not limited to)

Marketing

  • Support email marketing and lead generation campaigns.
  • Assist with social media planning, designing and posting.
  • Help maintain and update website content.
  • Create written content, photos and videos.
  • Research marketing trends, events and collaboration opportunities to support marketing initiatives.

Event Coordination

  • Assist with event planning, coordination and execution from preparation through to post-event evaluation.
  • Help with event setup, registration, attendee support and teardown activities.


Education

Currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Assets

  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or other related software.
  • Experience planning events.

Eligibility
