Role: SDET with Karate API
Location: Cincinnati, OH - Onsite (F2F Interview)

Duration: 12+ Months and Contract

Need only Local candidates and their Will be F2F interview

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain API automation frameworks using Karate DSL.
  • Create automated test scenarios for REST APIs, JSON, XML, and HTTP services.
  • Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end API tests.
  • Validate API response status codes, headers, schemas, payloads, and business rules.
  • Integrate API automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Perform API testing using Postman and other API testing tools when required.
  • Work with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
  • Analyze test failures, troubleshoot defects, and provide detailed defect reports.
  • Develop reusable Karate feature files, utilities, configurations, and test data.
  • Implement data-driven testing and parameterized test scenarios.
  • Participate in SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production validation.
  • Maintain automation scripts and continuously improve test coverage and framework reliability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Testing / SDET / QA Automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Karate Framework / Karate DSL.
  • Strong understanding of REST API testing and automation.
  • Good knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience with Java and Java-based automation frameworks.
  • Strong experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
  • Experience with Maven/Gradle.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
  • Good understanding of SQL/database validation.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
