As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will ensure the quality and integrity of all software products produced for distribution. You will monitor processes and procedures in product development and design. You will develop and analyze master test plans, cases, and schedules prior to implementation into production.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites for UI/E2E, API, and business rules engine testing using Playwright with TypeScript.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies for our business rules engine, ensuring rule logic is validated accurately and comprehensively.
  • Build and maintain automated API test suites, validating RESTful and other API protocols for functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Design and execute performance/load tests to identify bottlenecks and ensure system scalability under real-world conditions.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify security vulnerabilities and incorporate security testing practices into the automation pipeline.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our test automation frameworks, tools, and overall QA strategy.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality feedback.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level SDETs, fostering growth and best practices across the team.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment to understand requirements and define test coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.

What we look for: 

  • 6+ years of experience in test automation engineering (SDET or equivalent role).
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern test automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Cypress for UI/E2E test automation.
  • Solid experience with API testing and a strong understanding of API protocols (REST, GraphQL, etc.).
  • Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with security testing tools and methodologies (e.g., OWASP, penetration testing basics)
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Ability to design test automation architectures and frameworks from the ground up.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
