Job description

Role: Test Operator
Location: Rockford, IL
Duration: Long Term 

Job Description:

  • 5+ Years exp is needed.
  • Design, develop software code, test, integrate and document production test solutions for Avionics products with the job responsibilities being primarily software development with some basic hardware design activities.
  • Design test software and basic hardware including fixtures, cabling, and circuit cards.
  • Lead test software design reviews and ensure the generation of appropriate design documentation.
  • Prepare and present project and/or technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved.
  • Prepares documentation including descriptions or specifications of hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.

The candidate shall have the following experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science) and 5+ years of prior relevant experience
  • At least 5 years recent experience with NI Labview and TestStand development.
  • At least 5 years’ experience developing c / c# software.
  • Basic digital and low power analog design experience for test equipment, or similar equipment, including electrical design.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to excel in a team environment and interact with various teams
