Job description

SDET

Develop applications in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements. Construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements. Follow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussions. Create and maintain system documentation. Align risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately. Contribute to the design of components or individual programs. Provide production support for applications as needed. Work with subject matter experts reviewing technical designs and specifications. Apply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs. Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Design, develop, and implement automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. As a squad member, work to understand software requirements. Design, develop and maintain automated tests that validate the functionality. As a squad member work to identify and resolve defects and improve the overall software testing process. Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) processes. Diagnose and remediate software defects. Stay ahead of with new software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies. Understand and apply industry-specific best practices & standards. Establish level of expertise in the business areas, systems and platforms being supported. Responsible for system integration testing, including automation, of newly developed or enhanced applications. Responsible for reviewing requirements and design artifacts, developing unit, integration and system test cases, ensuring extensive test coverage for our applications. Understand and articulate the business and the value adds. Play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete results. Responsible for Project Coordination and Technical Management tasks.

Qualifications: Proven min experience of 7-10 years with automated unit and integration testing. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, and/or a related field. Hands On experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. as well as CI/CD technologies (e.g. Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira etc.). Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components. Strong experience with automated testing and test-driven development. Detailed understanding of smoke testing, functional, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing. Knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing. Expert and hands on with backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing. JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/ DB2/ Snowflake). Experience in Java Application Development. Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, etc.). Knowledge of Databases and SQL preferred. Experience in writing SQL queries. Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Positive relationship and collaboration skills.

Mandatory Skills: SDET. Experience: 5-8 Years. The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
