Job description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer / Computer Programmer II to support the development, deployment, modernization, and maintenance of secure custom applications and technical solutions.

This position focuses primarily on developing and modernizing ColdFusion web applications while also supporting Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint solutions. The successful candidate will bring strong full-stack development skills, technical problem-solving ability, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering secure and compliant digital tools for mission-critical federal operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure web applications in a ColdFusion environment.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code that follows established development and federal standards.
  • Develop and maintain client-side functionality using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and database integrations.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and other application interfaces.
  • Participate in code reviews to evaluate code quality, security, performance, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Apply secure coding practices and support government cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
  • Provide ongoing application maintenance, including issue tracking, debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot application issues across client-side, server-side, database, and integration components.
  • Collaborate with users, technical teams, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, planning, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide mentorship to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience developing, debugging, maintaining, and modernizing enterprise applications in a ColdFusion environment.
  • Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript, including asynchronous programming concepts.
  • Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and integrating applications with relational databases.
  • Experience developing or consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across front-end and back-end application components.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience working within an Agile or Scrum development framework.
  • Active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Visual Studio Code, GitLab, Jira, or similar development and collaboration tools.
  • Experience developing solutions with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Experience supporting software development or information technology initiatives in a Department of Defense or federal environment.
  • Experience developing or integrating workflows within the ServiceNow platform.
