Job Summary:
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of space combat power and multi domain simulation software. The role involves collaborating with teams, conducting research, and developing high-quality software solutions for military applications.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the team using Confluence, Discourse, GitLab, and Jira
• Perform code reviews and ensure high standards of software quality
• Present status updates and progress to leadership and customers
• Conduct multidisciplinary research in support of modeling and development goals
• Contribute to team vision discussions and simulation software architecture planning
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug space simulation software
Qualifications:
Required:
• 0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C++
• Completion of a technical C++ coding challenge
• Understanding of compiling, linking, and debugging C++ applications
• Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to excel in an agile, fast paced environment
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred:
• Python proficiency, including embedded Python applications
