Job description

Job Summary:
Auria Space is looking to hire a Software Developer to support the development of the Command and Control System – Consolidated (CCS-C) Sustainment and Resiliency (C-SAR) for current and future satellites. The role involves designing and implementing technical products, developing automation scripts, and collaborating with various teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, integrating, and documenting technical products within the CCS-C system.
• Develop mission-critical automation scripts using, Task Automated Operations (TAO) to streamline satellite command and control workflows, enabling autonomous execution of telemetry procedures, reducing manual operator input, and enhancing resiliency in Department of Defense(DoD) space operations.
• Work closely with system developers, testers, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
• Provide technical advice and deliver customer presentations for architecture and potential solutions.
• Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings; and support Data Products Development, which includes APIs, databases, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and simulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).
• (Engineer Level 3) Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Task Automated Operations (TAO), Trusted Autonomous Satellite Operations (TASO), or Autonomous Satellite Operations scripting to support automated satellite control procedures.
• Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting systems engineering tasks for a complex system across multiple teams of developers, engineers, and testers.
• Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds, and implement and document corrective actions across multiple systems and components.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage numerous demonstration events at the same time.
Preferred:
• Experience with structured and object-oriented programming Languages (e.g., C, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• Familiarization with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment, and containerization.
• Familiarization with DOD communication systems and subsystems (e.g., C2ISR platforms, SATCOM, data links).
• Experience with the Satellite Control Network (SCN) and Wideband SATCOM command and control (C2) systems, products, and interfaces.
• Experience with the EPOCH Product Suite and OASYS is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with software engineering.
