Job description

UWorld, LLC has multiple openings for the position of Software Developer (Ref# SD2026SI).

Work Location:  9111 Cypress Waters Blvd., Suite 300, Dallas, TX 75019.

Job Duties:  Develop and test end-to-end web applications (from prototype to deployment) or contribute to the development of existing web applications in terms of new feature enhancements.  Design and develop web-based interactive front-end for existing web-applications service B2C & B2B customers across all product lines using AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and other related API).  Enhance or rebuild responsive UWorld web portal to enhance user purchase experience, highlight product features, and provide client (end-user) support or any other functionality vital for an efficient ecommerce transaction.  Build responsive user interface (UI) screens that scale across all devices (phone, tablet and computer).  Employ best practices for code sharing and development to ensure common code base abstraction across all applications.  Consume REST services to provide interactive experience for end users with real-time data related to test preparation and e-commerce activities.  Work with QA Engineers to ensure quality and reliability of all apps by process of continuous improvement.  Develop, modify, and test algorithms that can be employed in computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.  Validate and process all data communication between clients (applications) and server to ensure data integrity and retrieval using relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server and MongoDB) and/or JSON objects.  Display data received from service calls and provide end-users with ancillary features that help in data retrieving, searching, and filtering.  Collaborate with other developers/engineers in maintaining existing web applications and website portal.  Work with a team of software developers to achieve quality and on-time releases.  Incorporate and implement optimizations as suggested by the Sr. Software Developers as part of the code review process.  Collaborate with Sr. Software Developers, QA team, and customer care team to drive new enhancements or fix bugs in a timely manner.  Review and resolve bugs reported by the customer care team and the priority set by Sr. Software Developers to fix them.  Use of C#, .NET, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, AngularJS, Bootstrap, REST Web Services, JIRA, MongoDB, and SQL Server.

Requirements:  Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.  Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Engineer, Web Developer, or related experience.  Position requires 1 year of experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and SQL Server.  40hrs/week.
