Role – Embedded Software Developer (Steering)
Location – Peoria, IL
Duration: 12+Months 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop control algorithms and embedded software for electro-hydraulic and autonomous steering systems.

  • Integrate steering controls with hydraulics, power systems, and machine interfaces.

  • Tune and calibrate algorithms on machines to improve steering performance.

  • Perform model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink.

  • Conduct on-machine and bench-level testing using tools like CANape.

  • Define system requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Collaborate with global teams and support junior engineers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience in embedded control development (automotive/off-highway preferred).

  • Strong in MATLAB/Simulink and electro-hydraulic systems.

  • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, CAN bus, and functional safety.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
