Title Aerospace Software Verification Engineer

Location Rockford, Illinois (onsite only)

Experience 7 to 10 years

Job Description:

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Comms Bus experience with TTP, A429 protocols with Aerospace domain is mandatory
  2. Working experience using DO-178C is must to have
  3. Experienced in performing Hardware/Software Integration Testing (HSIT), low level testing and module level testing.
  4. TCL, Python scripting language experience is preferred.
  5. Mandatory experience with Polarion AND DOORS Tool
  6. Data Coupling and Control Coupling Analysis (DCCCA), Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA) experience is a must.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary Responsible for getting executed below verification activities by the team of 5 to 10 Engineers
  • Thoroughly analyze software requirements to develop comprehensive test cases that cover all functional and non-functional aspects of the system
  • Design and document detailed software verification test cases, including input parameters, expected outputs, and coverage analysis to ensure thorough testing.
  • Execute test cases on the target hardware and software platforms, meticulously documenting test results and identifying any deviations from expected behavior.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects discovered during testing, working closely with development teams to resolve issues promptly
  • Perform code coverage analysis to ensure adequate testing of all software components and paths, meeting DO-178B/C standards
  • Prepare detailed software verification reports that document test results, including pass/fail criteria, deviations, and justifications for acceptance
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, design documents, test cases, and test results to demonstrate compliance with certification standards.
  • Co-ordinate and Collaborate with System and software development teams

The expected salary range for this position is between $90 K - $130 K annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
