Job Summary:
Wolverine Trading is a diversified financial institution specializing in proprietary trading and technology solutions. They are seeking a Software Engineer to perform full-stack development of desktop applications, design and support applications that address business problems, and implement best practices in software engineering.
Responsibilities:
• Perform full-stack development of primarily desktop applications using .NET technologies and SQL Server, working alongside developers and traders in a dynamic environment
• Design, develop, and support applications that solve real business problems, applying strong troubleshooting skills to resolve software issues
• Implement and uphold best practices for software engineering policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
• A bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
• Working knowledge of an object-oriented language such as C# or Java
• Experience with SQL Server or a comparable relational database
• A solid grasp of software development methodologies
• Experience in requirements gathering, testing, and implementation from both technical and business perspectives
• Proactive, self-motivated problem solver who thrives on a team
