Overview

Flagger Force is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead the development of high-quality software solutions using the Microsoft .NET Framework. Based at our Hummelstown, PA corporate campus this senior role acts as a primary technical liaison to our Finance and Accounting departments. You will be responsible for building and maintaining software that handles sensitive financial data, ensuring that all systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with financial auditing standards.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Systems Integration: Architect and manage integrations between core traffic control applications and financial systems or ERP platforms to ensure seamless data flow for billing and payroll.
  • Data Integrity & Auditing: Implement rigorous data validation and logging protocols within SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments to maintain "source of truth" accuracy for financial reporting
  • Advanced Software Development: Design and code complex services using C#, .NET Core, WPF, and React, specifically focusing on modules for revenue tracking and financial forecasting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with the Financial team, Product Managers, and Engineering leadership to translate complex fiscal requirements into technical specifications and Jira work items.
  • Security & Compliance: Lead security reviews to ensure applications meet internal controls and data protection standards required for financial operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop unit tests and QA practices that specifically stress-test financial calculations and edge cases in desktop and browser-based applications.
  • Application Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and bug fixes for existing applications and services. Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure the smooth operation of Flagger Force systems.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and technologies; Look for and document ways to leverage new technology in Flagger Force and share this knowledge with other team members.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 – 8 years of software development experience with a focus on .NET technologies.
  • Expert .NET Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and MVC for building robust enterprise services.
  • Database Mastery: Advanced ability to write efficient, complex queries in SQL Server and PostgreSQL, with a focus on transactional integrity and ACID compliance.
  • Systems Communication: Strong experience with API development for connecting disparate financial and operational software.
  • Documentation Excellence: Ability to create detailed playbooks in Confluence and designs in the enterprise wiki that outline financial logic and data mapping.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical skills to troubleshoot discrepancies between operational data and financial outputs.
  • Financial Domain Knowledge: Proven experience developing software for finance, accounting, or payroll departments.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
