Design, build, test, and maintain complex, scalable, and secure software systems. What you'll do as a Software Engineer II:
  • Design, estimate, develop, document, test, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements, timelines, and budget objectives.
  • Analyze business needs and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain applications supporting warehouse, distribution, purchasing, inventory, sales order, and EDI business processes.
  • Create documentation including business requirements, technical designs, test plans, and implementation procedures.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify process improvements and recommend technology solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues and user support requests in a timely manner.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and production implementation activities.
  • Support application deployments, upgrades, and maintenance efforts.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule and provide after-hours support when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Software Engineer II:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in an IBM i (AS400/iSeries) environment.
  • Strong functional and technical experience with RPG development.
  • Demonstrated experience creating business requirements, technical specifications, test scripts, and supporting user testing.
  • Experience supporting and resolving production application issues.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and PC fundamentals.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
