Overview
The PTS (Proprietary Trading Services) Development team is a software engineering group within Strategic Global Reliability focused on designing, building, and maintaining critical platforms and tools that support operational reliability and business continuity. The team develops scalable applications, services, and automation solutions that streamline workflows, improve system observability, and empower teams to proactively manage reliability across the organization. By combining software engineering best practices with a deep understanding of operational needs, PTS Development plays a key role in advancing reliability initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
In This Role, You Will:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and services that support reliability and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including software engineers, site reliability engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders, to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Build automation and tooling that improve efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and enhance system reliability.
  • Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of platform capabilities and internal applications.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and maintainability.
  • Analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions that improve reliability and user experience.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through data-driven decision making, monitoring, and operational insights.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute ideas that advance the team's technical capabilities and strategic objectives

What we're looking for
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a similar technical major
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing and supporting production applications
  • Strong proficiency in Python, C# and/or Java
  • Typescript and modern web application development experience preferred
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions
