Essential Job Functions:
• Troubleshoot high-level technical and non-technical issues
• Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
• Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
• Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
• Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
• Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
• Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
• Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
• Assist senior engineers and field service engineering staff
• Create and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation
• Monitor, analyze, & report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks
• Prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations and implementation plans
• Develop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutions
• Research and documents analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirements
• Anticipate and addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance problems
Education:
• Bachelor's degree (in computer science, engineering, or mathematics) + 10 yrs. related experience
Essential Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with performing engineering and/or scientific research, studies, and analyses of specified technological, scientific, programmatic, and operational issues
  • Advanced Linux experience
  • Experience utilizing systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customers
