Job description

Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, MA): Will work effectively in an IT leadership capacity on a global virtual team with product owners and development resources across the US, EMEA, India and China. Will work closely with developers, other team leads and a variety of end users to design solutions that meet user requirements while adhering overall application architecture. Specific duties include: Working with the business in translating business requirements into Agile epics and stories; Working with the development team to improve the technical skills, application and business knowledge; Scoping out development projects and estimating project resource, time requirements, and roadmaps; Stabilizing the delivery schedule of the product to align with user and regulatory commitments; Performing L4 production support duties, including: diagnosing complex system issues to determine and execute immediate remediation resolution steps within the daily critical processing window (under 3 hours), performing follow up root cause analysis, developing both short term mitigation plans as well as long term strategic solutions where applicable; Developing project plan, and prioritizing business demands, resource conflicts, support issues and the like; and Keeping the development team on track to deliver quality code, on time and under budget. Hybrid-remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field; plus 8 years of experience as a hands-on resource in full life-cycle software development.

Total experience above must include 5 years of software development experience within the financial servicing industry. Must also have the following: Demonstrated solid ability with Java, Oracle PL/SQL, messaging and queuing technologies to develop robust, reliable and high-performance solutions; Solid knowledge and skills in GUI development with Java middle and Oracle databases back-end to create an end-to-end solution; Demonstrated ability to provide problem resolution under pressure of client contractual and regulatory deadlines; Demonstrated solid collaboration skills, working with multiple teams in various global locations in an agile environment; and Demonstrated solid communication skills, self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:

$146,806 - $230,000 Annual
