ServiceNow Software Engineer - Certificate Management

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow Discovery, Certificate Management, CMDB, IRE, integrations, and ServiceNow scripting.
The ideal candidate will help implement and enhance ServiceNow Certificate Management capabilities, improve certificate discovery and data consolidation, and develop automation within the ServiceNow platform.
This role is part of a team focused on establishing ServiceNow as a single source of truth by integrating and reconciling data from multiple external systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and enhance the ServiceNow Certificate Management Module.
  • Configure and support ServiceNow Discovery for certificates.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.
  • Configure and manage CMDB Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules.
  • Ensure accurate identification, reconciliation, and consolidation of data within the ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Develop ServiceNow scripts using JavaScript and platform scripting capabilities.
  • Build automation to automatically create incidents based on defined certificate or system criteria.
  • Configure workflows, business rules, Script Includes, and other ServiceNow automation components.
  • Troubleshoot Discovery, CMDB, integration, and certificate-related issues.
  • Help establish ServiceNow as the organization's centralized source of truth.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Perform custom ServiceNow development and configuration as required.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering or ServiceNow development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow certificate discovery.
  • Strong experience with the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
  • Experience developing and configuring ServiceNow integrations.
  • Strong ServiceNow scripting/JavaScript experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow automation, workflows, Business Rules, Script Includes, or similar platform capabilities.
  • Experience working with CMDB data reconciliation and consolidation.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification - REQUIRED.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification - REQUIRED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience implementing or configuring the ServiceNow Certificate Management Module.
  • Experience with certificate lifecycle management.
  • Experience with SSL/TLS certificates or enterprise certificate environments.
  • Experience integrating certificate data from multiple external sources into ServiceNow.
  • Experience automating certificate-related incidents and notifications.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow CMDB architecture and data management.
