Prudent Engineering has been serving clients in NY and PA since 1992. It employs more than 100 people and provides engineering and land surveying services, specifically bridge design, construction inspection, bridge condition inspection, surveying and mapping, hydrographic services and transmission line work. Prudent's primary clients are transportation agencies such as NYSDOT, Thruway Authority, PennDOT, county highway departments and NY Power Authority.

Job Description

We're seeking a driven and engaging Technical Recruiter who will be responsible for attracting and recruiting top talent. You will perform full-cycle recruiting and work closely with department managers to source and close candidates who are a great asset for our company and culture. Our ideal candidate is a motivated who is goal-oriented and results-driven and has a high level of integrity.  

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for professional roles, including sourcing, screening, assessing, interviewing, evaluating, and closing candidates 

  • Work with HR and department managers to develop job descriptions and job specs 

  • Post job specs in applicant tracking system (ATS), on external job boards, and on college career boards  

  • Conduct intake calls, develop and execute sourcing strategies, and provide regular updates on search status  

  • Source and recruit candidates through a variety of resources including databases, social media, networking, cold calling, etc.  

  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and administering assessments 

  • Represent the company and communicate the employer brand to prospective employees, and consistently provide a high level of customer service  

  • Participate in college recruiting including on-campus career fairs and attend networking events  

  • Other projects and responsibilities related to the Recruiting department

  • Communication - Communicate effectively with candidates and hiring managers alike, creating promoters at every touch point  

  • Judgment - Exercise strong judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to identify high potential talent  

  • Drive & Discipline - Operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on generating high-quality results

  • 3+ years of technical recruiting or experience
  • Ability to produce quality results working under minimal supervision

  • Passionate about talent acquisition and up-to-date on industry best practices, thinking innovatively and outside-the box for talent attraction strategies
