You'll work alongside experienced engineering and operations teams, contributing to meaningful projects that directly support product quality and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking candidates who are pursuing or have completed a degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Current students in these fields are encouraged to apply.

We prefer candidates available to work 40 hours per week. However, we welcome student applicants and can offer a flexible schedule of 20 to 40 hours per week depending on availability and business needs. All work is performed on-site at our Vancouver, WA headquarters.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct engineering experiments and investigations related to manufacturing equipment, processes, and product performance.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues, including non-conforming products, product complaints, and device failures; document analyses and findings.
  • Perform occasional circuit board and component repairs, including soldering and de-soldering of electronic components.
  • Install and operate computer-based diagnostic tools; analyze performance data and summarize results.
  • Complete engineering investigation documentation, NCR reports, and other required quality paperwork.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment properly.
  • Perform other engineering or technical tasks as assigned.

Requirements

What you Bring

Electronics coursework or hands-on experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and basic understanding of engineering principles.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates and vendors.
  • Comfortable with basic math, record-keeping, and inventory-related tasks.

  • Must adhere to all safety procedures.

Additional Necessities

  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Good vision (including color differentiation) and hearing.
  • Ability to work near mechanical equipment, fumes, and airborne particles.

Why RS Medical?

  • Real engineering experience in a regulated medical device environment
  • On-the-job training-no prior professional electronics experience required
  • Opportunity to return for future internships based on performance
  • A collaborative team environment focused on growth and learning
