Position Overview

AZAD Technology Partners is looking for a Software Developer / Programmer to provide high level programming support to the Transmission Technology System Development and Support organization. The role involves interpreting design specifications, assisting in technical design, coding software, and following test and deployment procedures while complying with project documentation requirements. The developer will work on a development team using Agile and other development methodologies.

Employment Details

• 2+ years consultant position with high probability of long‑term ongoing employment • Hybrid: onsite 1–2 days weekly in Vancouver, Washington • Hourly pay: $65.00 – $70.00

Required Responsibilities
  • Interpret and translate design specifications into actionable tasks.
  • Assist in technical design and architecture decisions.
  • Write clean, maintainable code in .NET/C#.
  • Perform unit, integration, and deployment testing.
  • Document development work and test cases.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a directly related technical field is preferred.
  • With an applicable degree: minimum 5 years of software programming experience.
  • Without an applicable degree: minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Applicable certifications may count toward 1 year of experience.

    • ETL experience with Excel, flat files, BCP utility, DTS, SSIS, and SSRS.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Access, Project).

  • Rapid familiarity with existing systems and codebases.
  • Experience automating PowerWorld Simulator or other electric power system simulation software (e.g., GE PSLF, V&R ROSE).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Experience with web services and socket‑based protocols (XPATH, XML Schemas, XSLT, WCF, SOAP).
  • Version control experience (TFS, Subversion, Git, Mercurial).
  • Test‑driven development using NUnit, MSTest, Moq, Rhino Mock, TypeMock, or Pester.

  • Problem‑solving skills: debugging, troubleshooting, and debugging complex issues.
