Job description

Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.34510).

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position requires:

  • Front-End Development Using ReactJS - Demonstrated hands-on experience building modular, maintainable, and scalable user interfaces using ReactJS;
  • Utilize modern JavaScript (ES6+) and React Hooks useState, and useEffect for component lifecycle and state management, including handling asynchronous RESTful API integrations, managing UI and form state, and ensuring predictable data flow across components;
  • Relational and NoSQL Database Skills - Design, develop, and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases and model document-based structures and perform aggregation queries for analytics;
  • Programming with Java (version 11 or later) for implementing back-end business logic, system integrations, and data pipelines;
  • Apply object-oriented programming concepts, unit testing frameworks, and follow software development best practices to ensure code maintainability and reliability;
  • Build, Operate, and Monitor Distributed Systems at Scale. Support production distributed systems, including exposure to on-call rotations and incident resolution;
  • Email-based observability and alerting tooling to implement observability, troubleshoot outages, and support data-intensive workloads at scale. Familiarity with security remediation in production environments;
  • Design, Implement, and Test Internal Tooling and APIs Background in developing internal tools and RESTful APIs using API-first designs Swagger and OpenAPI documentation;
  • QA testing practices: writing, executing, and automating test cases using Postman;
  • Perform CI/CD pipeline tasks to ensure consistent and high-quality code delivery;
  • Collaboration, Release Management, and End-User Feedback Track record of participating in cross-functional project teams, releasing software into production, conducting data analysis, and visualizing findings to inform stakeholders;
  • Mentor junior team members, support intern programs, and collect requirements and feedback directly from end users to enhance internal solutions;
  • On-Call Support and Incident Response Participating in on-call rotations for production systems, including the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve incidents under time constraints;
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, log analysis, and escalation processes to ensure high availability and minimal service disruptions; and
  • Document incident findings and collaborate with engineering teams to implement preventive measures and long-term solutions.ses, applications, tools, networks etc.
