Job description

Job Title:Software Developer in Test - SDETRole Overview:We are seeking a talented Software Developer in Test to join our growing Consumer Protection Analytics engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our security products across multiple platforms. You'll work at the intersection of software development and quality assurance, building sophisticated test automation frameworks and validating complex agent-based solutions, APIs, and backend services.
In this role you will achieve and maintain test coverage for assigned components via test automation with integration in CI/CD pipeline, exploratory testing and other test methodologies to release high quality products with agility and speed. Leverage AI tools to optimize the monitoring, efficiency and efficacy of test plans.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with global teams, with an expectation to leverage AI-powered tools to enhance both product quality and development efficiency.
This is a Hybrid position located in Frisco, TX. You will be required to be on-site on an as-needed basis with an expectation of 2-3 days/week in-office. You must be within commutable distance to our Frisco, TX offices. We are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Role

  • Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for APIs, web applications, backend services, agent-based solutions, and mobile applications across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms.

  • Perform functional, regression, performance, security, and integration testing to ensure product excellence.

  • Conduct low-level system testing including process monitoring, system calls, file system interactions, and network activity validation.

  • Work closely with security teams to perform agent-level vulnerability assessments and security testing.

  • Generate detailed test reports, defect tracking, and bug analysis to drive continuous improvement.

  • Architect, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python (PyTest, Robot Framework), Java, or Selenium.

  • Automate API and agent testing workflows to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

  • Implement and maintain test automation within CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

  • Build tools and scripts to validate agent telemetry and event logging using Elasticsearch, MySQL, and file-based logs.

  • Perform API testing using Postman, Newman, or REST Assured, validating seamless agent-to-backend communication.

  • Conduct load and performance testing for agent-based solutions using JMeter, Locust, or similar tools.

  • Validate data integrity and communication protocols between agents and backend services.

  • Optimize test execution for high-performance, scalable, and responsive product delivery.

About You

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and test automation.

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages for test automation.

  • Testing Expertise: Experience with mobile application testing for iOS and Android platforms. Strong background in manual and automated testing methodologies for APIs, web applications, backend services, and agent-based software.

  • Platform Knowledge: Experience testing software on multiple operating systems including Windows, Android and iOS, and macOS.

  • Test Automation Frameworks: Expertise with PyTest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

  • API Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Postman, Newman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.

  • Test Framework Development: Ability to architect and build scalable test automation solutions.

  • CI/CD Integration: Experience implementing test automation in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
