We are currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join a collaborative applications development team supporting the development, enhancement, and modernization of business-critical applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software engineer to gain hands-on experience working with modern Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and Agile development methodologies while receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced engineering leaders.


What You'll Do

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of modern applications across cloud and hybrid environments. You will work closely with software engineers, product owners, project stakeholders, and business partners to deliver high-quality application features and enhancements.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of new application features and enhancements using the organization's approved technology stack.
  • Support the maintenance of existing applications, including troubleshooting and investigating issues across Development, QA, and Production environments.
  • Participate in the modernization and migration of legacy applications to modern platforms under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate application functionality prior to promoting solutions into higher environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, Scrum Masters, and development team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Communicate project status, effort, progress, and potential risks through Scrum ceremonies and other project communication channels.
  • Respond to service requests and support the timely resolution of application issues, escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Follow established coding standards, secure development practices, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
  • Participate in code reviews and continue developing knowledge of DevOps processes and deployment practices.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on a variety of project responsibilities to help ensure successful project delivery.
  • Actively seek feedback and apply coaching and mentorship to continuously improve technical and professional skills.


What You'll Need

Required Qualifications


  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET, Web API, Blazor, React, Angular, HTML5, CSS, and SQL.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server, Azure App Services, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments utilizing Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies.
  • Exposure to DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployment practices.
  • Experience supporting applications hosted in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1+ years of experience developing web-based applications using technologies within the Microsoft technology stack.
  • Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow as a software development professional.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
  • Familiarity with programming and coding standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, Project, and PowerPoint.
