Job Title: Software Engineer
Project Duration: 36 Months
Location: Lexington, MA (Hybrid)

Location: Virtual (Remote)

Work Location Requirement: Candidate must reside within 100 miles of Lexington, MA. Occasional onsite visits may be required based on program needs. Regular onsite work is not expected.
Duration: Full-Time Contract
Clearance Requirement:
An Interim Clearance is sufficient to start this position.

Position Overview
This position is within Digital Solutions, Enterprise Collaboration, AI & Web Services to support intranet tools and applications that empower staff to effectively and securely succeed in support of the Laboratory''s mission. This includes technology modernization and process streamlining within the group''s portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise API integrations.
  • Provide guidance on enterprise integration patterns (REST/HTTP, database integrations, ServiceNow, SAP, etc.).
  • Build and maintain scalable web applications using Java, Python, and front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Falcon, and Bootstrap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment using Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices in a secure and dynamic environment.

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise application development.
  • Hands-on experience developing integrations with Boomi platform or similar (ETL, API gateway, process automation).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills across a diverse technology stack.
  • Excellent communication abilities and teamwork mindset.
