Job description

Become a member of a team where you can contribute significantly to shaping the future of a world-renowned and influential company. Among top performers, you can make a direct and meaningful impact.

As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Sector - Employee Platforms team, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.

The Branch Technology engineering team builds software-defined platforms that manage and automate technology across the Retail Branch network. It is a small, focused team where engineers work across the stack, own their delivery end to end, and operate close to the architecture. The team moves fast, holds a high bar, and expects every engineer to bring their full capability to the work. Your focus will be the Software Defined Branch platform - contributing to the modernization of the C#, .NET, and PowerShell workflows that drive branch builds and Windows automation at scale. You will work alongside experienced engineers to re-shape those systems into a clean, maintainable, and extensible agentic platform, taking on complex problems and delivering with a level of craft the team can build on. You will be expected to bring AI tools into your daily workflow, engage with emerging agentic patterns on the CDAO Fusion Studio platform, and operate with the kind of autonomy and judgement that a lean, high-performing team depends on.

Job responsibilities
  • Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk
  • Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
  • Be responsible for infrastructure engineering in accordance with business requirements
  • Drives results and implements multiple complex programs
  • Drives thought leadership within the product line
  • Executes work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectives
  • Considers upstream/downstream system or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
  • Advises junior engineers and technologists
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools – VS Code, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent – and working knowledge of LLM integration or agentic tooling in a production context
  • Ability to operate with autonomy, take technical ownership, and contribute at a high level within a small, senior team
  • Minimum 7 years of deep working knowledge of C#, .NET, and PowerShell in production environments
  • Experience with Windows platform engineering and automation workflows at scale
  • Strong understanding of REST API design, relational database development, and system integration patterns
  • Deep technical knowledge across multiple domains
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (React or equivalent) – the stack has a UI layer
  • Experience with event-driven architecture or messaging platforms
  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or tools-first API design patterns
  • Experience in financial services or a comparable enterprise environment
  • Background in platform modernization or legacy system re-architecture
