Job description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Configuration Manager to work in Quantico, VA (partial remote). This position is contingent upon additional funding.
Description:
This role will provide configuration support and documentation to create a healthy security posture implementing Comply-to-Connect for our delivered Managed Service supporting the US Marine Corps
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for information system software, hardware, and firmware; and assess the security impact of those changes.
  • Work closely with the Government customer supporting daily activities and weekly Program meetings with stakeholders
  • Use approved templates for communications and training materials.
  • Review completed work of other contractor personnel for accuracy of data and information, procedure and guidance compliance, and error-free documentation prior to submission to Government
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction; develop long-lasting client relationships
  • Work well in a team-oriented environment and be able to self-manage their tasks to ensure success.
  • Communicate up and down within the organization; prepare detailed descriptions of issues, status updates, recommendations, and reports. Applicants must be organized with an eye for detail.

Minimum Secret clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • 6+ yrs. experience working in a DOD environment (Contractor/Civilian/Military), preferably USMC
  • Experience developing and maintaining configuration management system tools, scripts, procedures, and documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Expert level expertise in configuration management process and techniques with experience establishing and implementing a configuration management plan
  • Expert level expertise with identification of controlled artifacts (configuration items) and implementation of standard CM control processes
  • Experience with projects across development lifecycles (analysis through implementation)
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical/subject matter expertise; and in planning, organizing, executing, and controlling project tasks resulting in successful delivery of professional services
  • Experience developing and maintaining configuration management system tools, scripts, procedures, and documentation
  • Must be proficient with desktop programs such as MS Powerpoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint
  • Must possess a high attention to detail
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
