Job description

Role : Field Support Engineer

Location : Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR

Duration : Full Time

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, test, maintain, update, and support standard Windows desktop and laptop images.
  • Review and develop standardized endpoint images aligned with enterprise standards and approved configurations.
  • Deploy operating system images to desktops and laptops using approved enterprise image deployment processes.
  • Validate image functionality, application compatibility, security controls, and operating system configurations prior to deployment.
  • Support device provisioning, configuration, software installation, and operating system deployment activities.
  • Create and maintain image documentation, build procedures, testing results, and release records.
  • Support hardware refresh, replacement, migration, deployment, and re-imaging activities.
  • Coordinate with application owners and support teams to ensure software packages are compatible with standard desktop images.
  • Test and certify image updates, patches, drivers, and software releases before production deployment.
  • Maintain image versions and support release management activities for desktop image updates.
  • Ensure all image configurations comply with customer security, operational, and configuration management standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Windows desktop and laptop imaging.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, testing, and deploying enterprise desktop images.
  • Experience with OS deployment, image refresh, and device provisioning activities.
  • Knowledge of desktop application packaging and software deployment concepts.
