Configuration Manager โ€“ TS/SCI Clearance Required โ€“ JBSA Lackland - San Antonio, TXJob Description

The successful candidate will provide configuration management, network engineering, cybersecurity compliance, systems integration, and technical documentation support for Department of War (DoW) cyber test and cyberrange environments. The position requires the ability to establish and maintain controlled system baselines, develop engineering and network documentation, support Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) activities, and provide technical support throughout system evolution, testing, inspections, and integration activities.

Job ResponsibilitiesConfiguration Management and Baseline Control
  • Developing and maintaining Configuration Management Plans, procedures, and configuration-controlled documentation.
  • Establishing and maintaining hardware, software, and firmware baselines, including configuration items, versions, licenses, parts lists, and approved configurations.
  • Developing methodologies for tracking, documenting, and controlling architecture and configuration changes.
  • Supporting system evolution, integration, baseline updates, and incorporation of Government-approved hardware, software, and tools.
  • Identifying emerging technical requirements and supporting engineering activities associated with baseline management.
  • Chairing and/orparticipating in change boards, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and Program Management Office (PMO) requirements boards.
Network Architecture and Engineering
  • Developing and maintaining network architecture documentation, addressing schemes, and system-location records.
  • Producing and maintaining engineering and network drawings, including:
  • Wiring and connection diagrams
  • Network block and logic diagrams
  • Rack diagrams
  • Facility and range ISO drawings
  • Data flow diagrams
  • System and engineering drawings
  • Maintaining documentation that accurately reflects deployed network infrastructure and major system components.
Infrastructure and Systems Management
  • Implementing, maintaining, or supporting Integrated Power Management Interface (IPMI) infrastructure.
  • Documenting hardware and software configurations, including types, versions, licenses, dependencies, and parts requirements.
  • Tracking and documenting operating-systemand softwarepatches, fixes, and configuration changes.
  • Maintaining and documenting source code, scripts, and associated configuration information.
  • Identifying, tracking, and reporting hardware and software licensing issues.
  • Maintaining and documenting security-relevant software and firmware.
RMF, C&A, and Security Compliance
  • Providingsystemssupport for DoW Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) activities.
  • Developing RMF/C&A documentation and required artifacts, including network diagrams and supporting technical evidence.
  • Coordinating technical inputs and documentation for C&A/RMF package submissions.
  • Developing and following procedures for authorizing hardware, software, and firmware prior to implementation.
  • Supporting DoW hardware and software infrastructure baseline and certification requirements.
Test, Range, and Inspection Support
  • Providing technical support to 346TS and/or 318RANS unit inspections and associated test and range activities.
  • Supporting inspection preparation, walkthroughs, documentation, response development, corrective actions, and resolution tracking.
  • Developing and maintaining test and range documentation, including:
  • Requirements and ROM documentation
  • Test Support Agreements
  • Test Plans
  • Data Management Analysis Plans
  • Test Reports
  • Test Concept Briefings
  • Test Readiness Review (TRR) Briefings
  • Developing range designs, diagrams, and technical documentation supporting test projects and range-only activities.
Technical Governance and Documentation
  • Preparing agendas, meeting minutes, technical diagrams, engineering drawings, spreadsheets, and other materials for technical and requirements boards.
  • Providing documentation supporting configuration control, baseline management, engineering, integration, and system authorization activities.
  • Maintaining accurate, traceable, and configuration-controlled technical records throughout the system lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline. Equivalentexperiencemay be substituted.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of configuration management experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience supporting DoW, Federal Government, or large enterprise organizations.
  • Experience with CMDBs, asset management, change management, baseline management, version control, technical documentation, and audit support.
  • Capable of producing the technical documentation and providing the engineering and configuration-management support required to satisfy these contract deliverables and associated Government requirements.
