Description
The  Systems Administration - Automation Specialist is responsible for the identification, creation and maintenance of client-side automation/scripting capabilities.  This critical role will focus on how to automate common/repeatable tasks for internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with identifying automation tools to continually build internal capabilities.
  • Administer client automation tools and processes, focusing on reliable and safe automation capabilities. 
  • Identify and create scripts (C, python, etc.) to automate client-side processes (PW resets, account provisioning, etc.)
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that strive for a hands-off environment
  • Assemble and distribute key operational reports for internal and external uses. 
  • Work with HelpHub managers to assist in defining and documenting best practices and support procedures
  • Carry out special tasks at Management’s direction.  
  • Interact with customers and staff at both technical and supervisory levels as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
  • Demonstrated Expertise with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience Managing PC’s within an enterprise environment
  • IT Software Automation experience preferred (RES, Puppet, Chef or ther orchestration/CM tools)
  • One or all of the following scripting capabilities, including C and related languages, Python, Java, Shell 
  • Experience with Puppet or Chef a plus
  • Application packaging within a corporate environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
  • Must be a team player
