To thrive as a Software Assistant, you need foundational knowledge of software applications, troubleshooting, and basic programming concepts, often supported by a relevant degree or technical certification. Familiarity with help desk software, ticketing systems, and common productivity tools like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace is typically required.
