Job description

Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Kitchen & Design Consultant for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established building materials and design center in the Exeter, NH area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining kitchen design, sales, and customer service to help homeowners, builders, remodelers, and contractors bring their projects to life.

What You'll Do:
  • Meet with homeowners, builders, contractors, and remodelers to understand project needs
  • Create functional and attractive kitchen layouts using kitchen design software
  • Assist customers with cabinetry, countertops, hardware, flooring, doors, windows, millwork, and other building products
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, and design presentations
  • Coordinate design revisions and product selections
  • Follow up on quotes and help convert opportunities into sales
  • Work closely with sales, estimating, purchasing, operations, vendors, and manufacturers
  • Ensure projects are accurate and complete before ordering
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming showroom/design center
  • Stay current on design trends, products, and industry innovations
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in kitchen design, interior design, cabinetry sales, or showroom sales
  • Experience with kitchen design software such as 20/20 Design, ProKitchen, Chief Architect, or similar
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Ability to read floor plans and construction drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customer projects at once
  • Building materials, construction, remodeling, or home improvement experience strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated, personable, and comfortable building relationships with both homeowners and contractors
