Job description

Oversees the work of software applications engineers. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs software and modifies software enhancements and / or new products for customers. Using current programming languages, tools, and technologies, writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of software applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance along with go to market collateral and designs. Serves as a technical expert for sales and the customer to define system requirements and / or necessary modifications both before and after a sale (customer ramp) through providing software trouble shooting on customer solutions.
You are responsible for leading the design, integration and validation of Complex Device Drivers (CDDs) into customer AUTOSAR systems. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring that the high-performance Battery Management Solutions (BMS) features are successfully integrated into the AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) layer according to strict and safety requirements (ISO26262).
  • Customer software support & requirements management: collaborate directly with customers to define requirements for CDD development, ensuring they meet vehicle-level BMS needs.
  • BMP device CDD Integration into customer system with the AUTOSAR BSW, utilizing MCAL drivers, OS, and RTE.
  • CDD Verification to facilitate efficient and scalable system architectures for customer use-cases.
  • Technical leadership & Debugging: Lead technical issue analysis, root cause debugging and performance optimization.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with ASPICE guidelines and ISO26262 functional safety standards to achieve customer ASIL goal.
  • Collaterals & Documentation: Partner with Systems and Marketing teams to deliver system solutions, software, collateral documentation and tools that showcase silicon capability and drive design WINs. Maintain comprehensive documentation including software requirements, design specifications, and test reports. An exciting aspect of this role is that it is a people manager position.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum education Master's degree in ECE or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in one or more of the following - Linux, freeRTOS, Code Composer Studio (CCS).
  • Strong background in software, firmware development & experience in programming languages like C, C++ & Python.
  • Experience of Embedded Systems (MCU, MPU, ARM), Computer Architecture (Cache, DMA, Interconnect) and Operating Systems along with basic communication peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
  • Understanding of Automotive System's software architecture along with standard OSes, BSW & middleware components like MCALs, AutoSAR, Linux etc.
  • Experience with functional safety, ASIL and ASPICE.
  • Exposure to leadership roles - Technical Lead or Manager
  • Ability to clearly communicate (via presentations, email, virtual & in-person meetings, etc.) with customers to understand technical requirements and issues.
  • Ability to manage a team of 4-6 people; responsible for mentoring, development, planning & execution. Efficient escalation management for key customer projects.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
