Engineering Tech/Staff Analyst (Associate or Experienced)

Company:

The Boeing Company is looking for an Engineering Tech/Staff Analyst (Associate or Experienced) to join a large Air Dominance Division Mission Systems Software team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This individual will support the development of software solutions for the Mission Computer and work closely with the Mission Systems (MS) Software team and leadership to develop and deliver a number of products in support of program execution.

These products and tasks include: the generation and further development of weekly metrics to be used for the management of program execution, the facilitation of a process improvement team to continuously improve and document the teams processes in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) paradigm, the support and documentation of security protocols in a closed area, leadership and responsibility for tracking hiring activities and the team seating chart, and various administrative responsibilities. The candidate will also Interface with management, engineers, and team members, to provide schedule and project status to ensure that requirements are fulfilled on schedule. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and will be assertive and self-motivated.

The Mission Systems Software Team develops real-time embedded Operational Flight Program (OFP) software that resides in the heart of the platform. The Mission Systems Software team is responsible for the design, code implementation, and the various levels of testing of software as well as supporting the development of the system and subsystem requirements. This position supports all development activities, as appropriate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the MS software teaming infrastructure - the heartbeat and cadence of a high-performing and high-intensity software development team

    • Create, integrate and manage basic teaming infrastructure processes - between teams and with our cross-functional partners including AIT, MS (and larger) IPT and Agile integration partners

    • Create and manage metrics for the same - creating integrated flow of staffing (Adaptive Planning), efficiency metrics and guidance in creation of basic software metrics for management analysis

    • Support the office of MS Software Senior Manager - alignment of calendar in support program, customer AND people-facing roles as needed

      • Focus area on creating strong recognition and cultural cadences needed to foster our execution

    • Integrate with MS IPT PIO and coordinate Facility, IT, Security and Supply requests as needed

    • Support MS team management staffing and on-boarding for new hire engineers

  • Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkeley, MO.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required)

  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

  • 2+ years of experience with Data Analysis

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Experience with Jira

  • Experience in managing and facilitating meetings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate degree or higher

  • Level 3 (Experienced): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with Microsoft CoPilot, Gemini or other office productivity level AI models

  • Experience presenting to senior leaders

  • Experience with EasyBI

  • Knowledge or experience in the defense or avionics industry

  • Knowledge of networking principles

  • Knowledge of required levels of rigor for safety-critical software
