Job description

As an Aircraft Survivability Analyst, you will be determining the suitability of USAF digital simulations for evaluating tactics, designing tests to assess tactics, and executing models to compute metrics that quantify relative risk of different employment strategies.  You will be part of a team of engineers and operators that develop and evaluate aircraft tactics to ensure our pilots can complete their mission and return home safely.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research or a Scientific Computing discipline.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Open Air Flight Test
    • Air Vehicle Survivability Analysis
    • DoD Intelligence or Operations Research
    • Physics Based Modeling and Simulation
    • Combat Mission Planning
  • Equivalent professional experience (12+ years) will be considered for talented candidates without degree
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and with small teams
  • Active security clearance and experience working in a classified environment

Preference to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Understanding of ground and airborne threat systems
  • Working knowledge of aircraft survivability and/or aerodynamics
  • Familiarity with auto-routing programs for air vehicle survivability
  • Experience with Mission Planning Support Tools (MPST)
  • Software development skills and/or experience with scripting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to design and compute metrics for analysis
  • Experience with one or more US Government many-on-many digital simulations
