Liquid Personnel is recruiting for an experienced and high skilled Adult Social Worker to support out its client's locality teams in West Devon. This role requires a confident practitioner with strong legal literacy, proven leadership capability, and the ability to support both operational and supervisory functions within a busy adult social care environment.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Statutory assessmentsย such as Care Act assessments, MCA assessments, Best Interest decisions, and Community DoLS work. ย 
  • Care and support planningย that is strengthsbased, personalised, and focused on delaying or preventing escalating needs.
  • Safeguarding adults, including identifying and investigating concerns and coordinating protective actions with partner agencies.
  • Managing a varied caseload, supporting adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults with complex conditions.
  • Multidisciplinary workingย with health services, community organisations, and care providers to deliver integrated, holistic support.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,ย 

  • Professional Qualification: MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW.
  • Registration: Must be registered withย Social Work England.
  • Experience: At least 5 years post-qualified experience and ASYE
  • Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of theย Care Act 2014,ย Mental Capacity Act 2005,ย Best Interest Decisions, CDoLS, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent assessment, analysis, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to a car is often required for community visits.
