• Conduct thorough initial assessments for new patients to determine their mental health needs and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, adjusting strategies as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to address a spectrum of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.
• Engage in crisis interventions as needed, utilizing your clinical expertise to de-escalate potentially high-risk situations and implement safety plans.
• Document all patient interactions, progress notes, and treatment updates accurately in electronic medical records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate holistic patient care and referrals.
• Participate actively in clinical supervision and staff meetings, contributing insights and sharing best practices to improve patient care delivery.
• Stay informed of the latest developments in the mental health field through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

As an LCSW at Meru Behavioral Health Center, you will primarily assist patients dealing with a range of mental health issues, many of whom are residents within our hospice setting. This unique environment allows you to support individuals and families facing end-of-life challenges, helping them navigate emotional distress while fostering resilience and coping strategies. • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in the state of New York.
• Proven experience providing outpatient psychotherapy to patients with various mental health conditions, particularly within trauma-informed care frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate effective engagement with both patients and team members.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• A strong commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to evidence-based practices.

• Experience working in a hospice or palliative care setting is highly valued.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and techniques for managing complex emotional responses.
• Background in leading group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
