About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager / Release Manager to lead the delivery and deployment of mission-critical Case Management Systems. In this role, you will oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from inception to production, ensuring seamless releases while navigating complex government reporting standards, compliance mandates, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project & Release Lifecycle Management: Plan, schedule, and direct end-to-end software release cycles, ensuring cross-functional alignment between engineering, QA, product, and compliance teams. Assist in requirements, testing and release documentation.
  • Case Management System Oversight: Lead the implementation, customization, and continuous delivery of enterprise-grade Case Management Systems (CMS) tailored to public sector workflows.
  • Government Compliance & Reporting: Oversee the design and implementation of automated government reporting features, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards, data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP), and agency-specific mandates.
  • Risk & Stakeholder Management: Identify release risks, manage dependencies, and communicate project status, timelines, and deployment readiness clearly to government stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Process Optimization: Establish and refine release management best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical project management, release management, or software delivery, specifically within enterprise software environments.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record of managing the implementation or scaling of Case Management Systems (CMS) for public sector, social services, legal, or regulatory agencies.
  • Government Reporting: Deep familiarity with public sector compliance, data auditing, and generating mandated government reports and regulatory documentation.
  • Methodologies: Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira/Confluence, and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge technical engineering teams and non-technical government agency partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CSM, or ITIL certifications.
  • Direct experience working on government contracts (Federal, State, or Local).
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and secure data handling standards.
