The Senior Brand Strategist supports the success of the overall Medavie brand and its divisions. This role supports the Brand and Creative Services team on overall planning efforts to increase the value and performance of Medavie and its divisions' brand reputation, image, mission, and vision.

The role collaborates closely with various departments such as marketing and corporate communications and formulates and develops deliverables that support brand marketing programs and campaigns, product innovation, and overall corporate priorities.

This is a highly collaborative role that works cross-departmentally and with external agencies to conceptualize, design, and build cross-platform media for websites, search and social campaigns, electronic marketing, and offline awareness and reputation campaigns. The role is also responsible for analyzing market and consumer insights to ensure the brand message and tone are consistent across all online and offline channels.

What You'll Do:

  • Brand Strategy & Campaign Leadership - Co-lead digital and traditional campaigns with external agencies, partners, and cross-functional groups. Co-lead market analyses and monitor competitive activity to facilitate prioritization of new opportunities and development of campaign strategies and brand marketing programs.
  • Digital Presence & Content Strategy - Provide strategic direction for Medavie's online assets (social, websites and third-party platforms). Co-lead content strategy for the Medavie house of brands including editing, optimization, and measurement. Support digital and social media strategies with their lead representatives from the Brand team.
  • Brand Awareness, Sponsorship & Activation - Support Medavie sponsorship strategy and online/offline activations. Support driving brand awareness, reputation, acquisition and retention for Medavie's house of brands. Collaborate in creating and supporting strategic approaches for branding programs aligned to key brand growth areas.
  • Research, Analytics & Brand Integrity - Support research and analytics to identify brand strengths and weaknesses. Review and analyze new or revised brand design, wording, or architecture against current market trends. Support brand guidelines and definition of the Medavie and its divisions' tone of voice across all online and offline materials.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Brand Governance - Collaborate with the business's web and social media representatives to enhance client experience and brand image communication approaches. Support brand strategy for all Medavie assets, including external facing recruitment, corporate acquisitions and product marketing.

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related discipline is an asset.
  • Minimum 6 years of marketing, communications, or branding experience.
  • Relevant experience in a corporate or agency environment. Experience in brand strategy and brand architecture work.
  • Exceptional research and analysis skills; ability to translate data and insights into strong strategies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop integrated marketing and communications strategies.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and brand-publisher mindset.
  • Ability to discern key fundamentals from complex information and develop engaging content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.

Pay Range:

73,465 - 82,648 CAD

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
