Social & Content Lead

Apollo Scooters

Montreal, QC • Hybrid

Full-time

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

Who are we?
Apollo is the global leader in premium electric mobility. We build the best-riding scooters in the world - and we're looking for someone to make our social presence match the product.

This is an ownership role. We've run social reactively for years, with the founding team defaulting to what we know. That ends with this hire. You will own the social strategy across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, set the direction, and be accountable for the results. We are not going to hand you a content plan - we're hiring you to build it.

The job
You orchestrate. Your day isn't behind a camera - it's directing a roster of creators, affiliates, and videographers, turning their output into a coherent, compelling story for Apollo across three platforms. You trade product and access for content, manage contributors at scale, and run a methodical test-and-learn system that tells us what actually works - by platform, by format, by angle.

You bring the craft to know good content and direct it. But the mandate is building the engine, not operating the equipment.

What you'll own

  • The social strategy and content calendar across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram - aligned to product launches, campaigns, and paid media
  • A structured creative testing system: hypotheses, variants, results, iteration - not one-off posts
  • The full creator lifecycle: sourcing, outreach, negotiation (often product-for-content, not cash), briefing, production oversight, and delivery
  • Planning and running shoots - the filming schedule, the content pipeline, and high-quality footage when the moment calls for it
  • Repurposing existing footage into short-form social and ad-ready content at consistent volume
  • Day-to-day social management - posting, replying to comments and DMs
  • Sourcing and onboarding new micro and UGC creators as the roster grows
  • Monthly social KPIs and reporting - clear analysis and recommendations you act on
  • Brand partnerships and collaborations that expand Apollo's reach

You're a fit if

  • You've independently owned a channel or social strategy and can point to results you drove without anyone directing you. This is the one we care about most.
  • You think in systems - you build repeatable processes and run disciplined creative tests, rather than chasing trends one post at a time
  • You're AI-native in practice: you automate creator outreach, generate and test creative variance, edit faster, and pull reporting using AI as a default, not a novelty (Higgsfield and similar tools included)
  • You've coordinated creative teams in an agency or in-house environment
  • You have hands-on videography and editing experience - you can shoot and cut when needed, and you know good content when you see it and can articulate why
  • You know YouTube cold - long and short-form - and you're fluent in what performs on Shorts, Reels, and TikTok, and why
  • You're relentless at sourcing and signing creators; cold outreach doesn't faze you
  • You're self-directed, highly organized, and run multiple creator workstreams without dropping anything
  • You're proactive, quick to adopt new technology, and you think outside the box

Perks & benefits

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Based in Montreal preferred, with a hybrid schedule - 3 days a week in our office. We're also open to Vancouver-based applicants.
  • A scooter for the summer, on us
  • Employee discount on the full Apollo lineup
  • Extended health benefits
  • A founding-team seat on the function: you're building social from the ground up, not inheriting someone else's playbook
