Job description

Employment Status:Full timeShift:Day (United States of America)Facility:1906 Belleview Ave SE - RoanokeRequisition Number:R161077 Intern - Social Work - MSW (Open) How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:The Intern supports departmental operations within an assigned department while gaining hands-on, practical experience in the healthcare field. Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or designee and contribute to daily operations, projects such as research or strategic initiatives as well as other duties as assigned.
  • Work under the supervision of a department leader or designee to complete assigned duties.
  • Assist with operational, administrative or professional tasks aligned with department needs and the intern's academic program.
  • Observe, document, and communicate work progress, findings, or issues to the supervising leader or team.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization using appropriate communication methods.
  • Participate in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested.
  • Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements.
What We Require:

Education: Two years of high school required. Some internships may require a bachelor's degree; or enrolled in and nearing completion of an undergraduate degree or terminal degree in a field relevant to the internship

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Clinical interns may be required to be enrolled in an accredited professional program (e.g., pharmacy, nursing, allied health) and meet regulatory or licensure-related requirements.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work efficiently, manage time wisely, and follow policies and procedures with minimal supervision. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and willingness to learn. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Must be at least 16 years of age. Assignments that use chemicals or power tools require intern to be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation Range:

$15.00 - $21.07

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
