Position Summary
The Division of Allergy and Immunology serves the children of North Carolina in the diagnosis and treatment of known or suspected immune deficiencies and allergic diseases, including food and environmental allergies. Within the Division, established and anticipated research studies conducted by the Food Allergy Initiative (FAI) supports a nationally recognized program. The program is dedicated to the study of new medicines and treatments, laboratory studies involving allergies and desensitization (mice and human subjects), and the education of community physicians, allied health professionals, and the public.
This position will serve as a Research Assistant to Dr. Corinne Keet within the UNC FAI. The Research Assistant is responsible for coordinating participant-facing research activities, including screening and recruiting participants, obtaining informed consent, scheduling and conducting study visits, collecting study data, performing non-licensed clinical procedures, and serving as a liaison throughout study participation. This position also supports study data management and analysis through database creation, data entry, quality assurance, report generation, statistical analysis, and documentation of protocol deviations, discrepancies, and adverse events.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
  • Working knowledge of the research principles and methods of data entry, collection, and analysis to complete defined assignments independently.
  • Skilled in organizing workflow and coordinating multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Office, Teams).
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication.
