We offer a better retail and digital experience that prioritizes safety and expertise in a cool, fun and welcoming environment, along with a wide earring assortment—all at an accessible price point.

The Manager, Social Content & Community is a critical creative and strategic leader responsible for how Studs shows up on social media, drives cultural relevance, and nurtures a growing community of fans and creators. This role owns our organic content strategy, execution, and engagement across platforms, with a special focus on Instagram and TikTok. As both a maker and a manager, this person will elevate our brand voice, expand reach, and help Studs remain a category-defining brand in Gen Z and millennial culture.

This is a high-output, high-collaboration role that partners closely with Integrated Marketing, Creative, CX, Merchandising, and Retail teams to activate campaigns, amplify piercing content, and drive customer engagement in-platform and IRL.

Success is measured by content output, engagement, and the ability to translate cultural moments and studio activity into work that earns attention.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000

Key Responsibilities:

Platform & Content Strategy

  • Own the day-to-day strategy, execution and calendar planning for all organic social platforms (primarily Instagram and TikTok), aligned to business goals and brand priorities
  • Plan and produce high-performing native content across platforms, with a strong POV on trends, tone, and platform-specific creative best practices
  • Partners with Marketing, Merchandising and Retail Ops on launches, campaigns, and brand moments

In-Studio and Real-Time Capture

  • Concept, shoot, edit, and publish original video content (e.g., piercing transformations, product styling, educational or trend content) directly in-platform
  • Spends regular time in NYC studios capturing content alongside studio teams, building relationships that make on-the-ground filming sustainable
  • Builds repeatable systems for sourcing, capturing, and editing studio content across the Studs fleet at volume without sacrificing quality
  • Aligns content output to the brand's core formats: piercing transformations, "come with me" moments, education on healing, safety, and styling, and campaign or cultural tie-ins
  • Write all social copy and ensure brand voice consistency across posts, captions, and community engagement

Community and Creator Strategy

  • Manage day-to-day engagement across platforms including responding to comments and engaging with tagged content and community posts in a timely manner
  • Curate and manage a small community of content creators—brief, contract, and pay creators for monthly content programs

Performance and Iteration

  • Track performance across all channels, reporting weekly and monthly against KPIs
  • Identify insights, trends, and audience behavior changes that inform creative and programming direction
  • Adapt content approach quickly when platform format dynamics shift
  • Bring a clear POV on what makes organic content perform and uses it to challenge and continuously refine our approach

Requirements:

  • 4–6+ years running organic social for a consumer brand or agency, with proof of work on Instagram and TikTok
  • Based in the NYC area, with availability for 3 days/week in corporate HQ plus 1–2 days/week in NYC studios
  • Deep fluency in TikTok and Instagram with hands-on experience editing and producing native content
  • Passion for earrings, piercings, and brand-forward creative expression
  • Highly self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced, high-output environment
  • Clear communicator and natural collaborator; able to align across teams while owning execution
  • "No task too small" mindset paired with strong creative instincts and editorial judgment

Benefits & Perks

  • Flexible Work Environment (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (including a plan option with $0 in-network mental health visits)
  • Access to Mental Health and Work/Life Resources including Online Therapy, Gender Affirmation Support Services, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Health and Commuter Tax-Advantaged Accounts
  • Stock Options in connection with the Company's Equity Incentive Plan
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
  • Paid Time Off, Paid Safe & Sick Leave, and Paid Parental Leave
