THE SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in a place full of excitement, diversity, and entertainment? Are you enthusiastic about being a team player in one of the most fascinating industries in the world? At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.

THE JOB:

The Social Media Content Editor is the post-production engine of the Social Media Production Team, turning raw capture into finished, platform-native assets for select brands within MGM Resorts' 13-property Las Vegas portfolio. Working from social media manager and producer footage, archive, and creator-submitted material, the Editor cuts, versions, and finishes static, video, and motion content to brand standard, builds and maintains the templates and asset library the wider team draws from, and protects speed and consistency across a high-volume publishing calendar.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Edit raw footage into finished, platform-native social assets across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta, and emerging formats, delivering the creative intent set by producers and creative leadership.

  • Support the full producer roster on asset development, taking briefs, footage, and shot lists from multiple producers concurrently and returning finished cuts on agreed turnaround dates.

  • Version and resize finished content across social-first placements and aspect ratios, including but not limited to 4:5, 4:3, 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9, with correct safe zones, captioning, and platform specifications for both organic and paid delivery.

  • Apply finishing craft including sound design, music selection and syncing, color correction, captioning, and titling, producing content built to perform with sound off.

  • Build and animate motion graphics, lower thirds, title cards, and end frames consistent with each brand’s visual identity while developing reusable edit templates, motion graphics packages, color presets, caption styles, and project structures to raise output speed and consistency.

  • Own the shared asset library and archive (ingest, labeling, metadata, proxy generation, backup, and retrieval) while mining existing footage to repurpose prior productions and evergreen material into fresh assets without additional shoot spend.

  • Edit and finish creator and influencer content to brand standard, confirming usage rights and required disclosures are documented before delivery.

  • Manage revision rounds with producers, social media managers, brand, and legal partners, tracking feedback and maintaining version control through final approval.

  • Perform quality control on outgoing assets, checking specifications, aspect ratios, captions, audio levels, logo usage, and legal supers before publishing handoff.

  • Apply AI-assisted post-production workflows, including transcription, captioning, rough assembly, and cleanup, within MGM Resorts brand safety, disclosure, and governance standards.

  • Support live event and time-sensitive coverage with same-day and next-day turnarounds, including on-site edit support when required.

  • Track platform format changes, editing trends, and emerging post-production tools, bringing recommendations back to the production team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Have 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in video editing or post-production for social, digital, or brand content, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, lifestyle, or agency environments. Must be able to demonstrate experience and specific work examples via a portfolio or personal website

  • Portfolio: Strong portfolio of short-form social editing that demonstrates pacing, sound design, and platform-native craft

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in industry-leading programs including Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fusion, Gemini AI, Canva, Figma, and mobile-first editing tools

  • Command of Vertical Formats: Demonstrated command of vertical-first editing, including 9:16 framing, sound-off pacing, captioning, and cutdown versioning across placements

  • Finishing Skills: Working knowledge of color correction, audio mixing and leveling, and export and compression settings for each major platform

  • Media Management: Experience with media management at scale, including ingest, proxy workflows, file naming conventions, metadata, and archive

  • Paid Social Specifications: Working knowledge of paid social deliverable specifications, including aspect ratios, safe zones, and asset versioning for multi-placement delivery

  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support live events and campaign deadlines

  • Has a Bachelor's Degree in film, digital media, communications, or a related field - Preferred

  • Have 3+ Years of prior relevant experience including editing for a multi-brand or portfolio-based organization and supporting a shared production team - Preferred

  • Templates & Presets: Experience building or maintaining reusable motion graphics templates and edit presets for a team - Preferred

  • Music Licensing: Familiarity with rights-cleared music libraries and music licensing workflows - Preferred

THE PERKS & BENEFITS:
  • Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally

  • Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more

  • Free meals in our employee dining room

  • Free parking on and off shift

  • Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)

  • Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community
