Job description

CERT, LLC is a private emergency medical training company in Northern Virginia that provides hands-on EMT education and certification courses. We are seeking a motivated Social Media Assistant to work directly with our Social Media Manager and support the creation of engaging content for our training programs.
This role focuses on helping capture, organize, and prepare social media content from real training environments, including EMT skills labs, simulation exercises, classroom activities, and student training events. The Social Media Assistant will work alongside our Social Media Manager to film, photograph, and document the hands-on nature of emergency medical training at CERT.
This is an excellent opportunity for students or individuals interested in social media, marketing, digital content creation, communications, or media production who want real-world experience creating content in a dynamic training environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Film EMT training sessions, skills labs, and simulation exercises.
  • Capture photos and short-form video content during classes and training events.
  • Work directly with the Social Media Manager to create engaging behind-the-scenes and promotional content.
  • Assist with documenting student training experiences and real hands-on learning activities.
  • Help organize, label, and transfer media files for editing and posting.
  • Support the Social Media Manager with content ideas, trends, and basic social media tasks as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism while filming in active training environments.

Qualifications:
  • Interest in social media, marketing, communications, media production, or digital content creation.
  • Comfortable filming and taking photos in active classroom and training environments.
  • Basic familiarity with smartphone or camera video recording.
  • Understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube is preferred.
  • Strong reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on training schedules.

Compensation: $18 to $22 per hour.
