Summer Camp Site Director - Youth Soccer (Del Mar) | San Diego Wave Camps $1,400-$1,600/ week Compensation
San Diego Wave Camps is seeking a Summer Camp Site Director in Del Mar (Ashley Falls Park) to lead operations for our youth soccer camp June 22-26, 2026, ad additional weeks if available.
This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about mentorship, youth development, and creating a positive camp culture. As the Site Director, you will guide staff, ensure camper safety, and deliver a high-quality experience that reflects the energy and excellence of San Diego Wave FC.
You'll serve as the on-site leader, setting the tone for a fun, structured, and inspiring week of camp.
The selected candidate may have the opportunity to begin working as early as May 2026 in a part-time, paid role supporting group sales and community outreach for San Diego Wave Camps.
In this role, you may:
-Promote camp programs to local schools, teams, and community organizations
-Build relationships with families and youth sports groups to support enrollment efforts
-Gain valuable experience in sports sales, marketing, and operations

What You'll Lead (Site Director Responsibilities):
-Oversee all daily camp operations for youth soccer camps
-Supervise, support, and evaluate a team of soccer coaches and camp staff
-Execute the San Diego Wave Camps curriculum with consistency and quality
-Ensure a safe, structured, and inclusive environment for campers ages 4-12
-Manage daily logistics including check-in/check-out, scheduling, and transitions
-Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and staff
-Handle problem-solving, conflict resolution, and on-site decision-making
-Uphold and represent the Wave Camps FC brand with professionalism and integrity
Ideal Background:
-Experience leading youth programs, summer camps, or sports camps
-Background in soccer coaching or playing (high school level or higher preferred)
-Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and staff members simultaneously
-Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities
-High energy, professionalism, and accountability
-Passion for youth development through sports
Commitment:
-Up to 6-week summer commitment: June 22 - July 31, 2026
-Monday-Friday, approximately 8 hours per day
-Ability to travel to camp locations with reliable transportation
-Must pass a comprehensive background screening
-Comfortable driving a rented camp van if needed
Compensation:
$1,400 - $1,600 per week, based on experience
