  • Join us for as a Prep Cook for our Activities department! This position is responsible for providing a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete tasks on the supervisor's prep list in order
  • Label and stock ingredients on accessible shelves
  • Wash, chop, and sort fruits, vegetables, meats, and dry supplies
  • Measure and prepare ingredients for recipes
  • Parboil food, reduce sauces, proof dough, and start various dishes
  • Prepare and deliver guest orders, including “to go” items, with speed and accuracy
  • Use kitchen equipment safely, following nutrition and sanitation standards
  • Communicate professionally with associates and clients per company standards
  • Respond to supervisor requests for various tasks, including dishwashing and sanitizing
  • Report spoilage or shortages immediately
  • Maintain walk-in coolers per standards and refrigerate perishable foods properly
  • Clean workstation and follow up with supervisor for closing instructions
  • Embrace Alterra Mountain Company culture and core values through training and active participation
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience:
  • Previous related experience
