Additionally, Snow Developers must stay updated on best practices to maintain scalability and compliance during integrations.

What is a Snow Developer?

A Snow Developer is a software professional who specializes in developing applications and solutions using Snowflake, a cloud-based data warehousing platform. They design, build, and maintain data pipelines, optimize SQL queries, and manage data integration tasks to support business intelligence and analytics. Snow Developers often work with large datasets, ensuring data quality, security, and performance. Their role may also involve collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

Snow Developers, also known as Snowflake Data Engineers or Architects, can earn $300,000 or more annually, especially with extensive experience, specialized skills in cloud data platforms, and certifications. High-level roles in data engineering, cloud architecture, and senior software development often reach or exceed this salary level in the tech industry.

ย
We are seeking a Mid-Levelย Structural Engineer with a specific focus on high-voltage substations and electrical infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for managing and executing structural scopes for substation projects from concept through IFC, including design of foundations for control enclosures, transformers, breakers, dead-ends, and other major HV equipment.ย
ย
This role requires a strong familiarity with structural requirements unique to substations, including coordination with electrical teams, vendor specifications, foundation optimization, and document production aligned with milestone submittals. You'll play a key role in shaping and scaling our HV structural team and supporting utility and interconnection projects for renewable energy clients.ย
Key Responsibilities:
  • Structural Design & Engineering:ย
Perform structural calculations for tracker pile foundations, concrete pads, skids, and other site structuresย
Apply site-specific conditions (wind, seismic, snow, corrosion, frost) in structural analysis and designย
Interpret geotechnical reports and apply parameters to foundation design assumptionsย
Support structural remediation recommendations based on pile load testing or field observationsย
    Drawing Production & Documentation:ย
Assist in preparing construction drawings and structural details using AutoCADย ย
Contribute to general notes, specification sections, and milestone submittals (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC)ย
Support development of signed/stamped structural calculation packagesย
    Field Coordination & Support:ย
Assist with site walkdowns, pile installation observation, and field data collectionย
Observe load testing programs and document structural performanceย
Coordinate with construction teams to evaluate as-built conditions and flag out-of-spec issuesย
Support field-based evaluations, remediation planning, and construction documentationย
Provide photo logs, site sketches, and summary reports following field deploymentsย
    Team Collaboration & Growth:ย
Coordinate with internal geotechnical and civil teams for integrated designย
Attend internal design meetings and client calls as needed to stay aligned with project objectivesย
Receive mentorship from senior engineers with the opportunity to gradually take on more responsibilityย
Participate in internal learning, development, and project closeout reviewsย
Other Areas of Focus:
  • While the focus of this role is in renewable energy, you'll also support general structural engineering work, including:ย
Analysis of structures for wind, snow, and seismic loads using ASCE 7 and IBCย
Structural design for deep and shallow foundations (e.g., spread footings, piers, caissons)ย
Design and detailing of framing systems and structural components in steel, concrete, aluminum, FRP, and masonryย
Structural condition assessments and live load evaluationsย
Coordination with manufacturers and development of foundation designs for prefabricated structuresย
Construction support including review of change orders, submittals, and field questionsย
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineeringย
EIT certification required, PE in progress preferredย
3-7 years of experience in structural design, with exposure to foundation engineering, energy, or infrastructure projectsย
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with structural software (e.g., RISA, RAM, STAAD) preferredย
Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standardsย
